List Building Made Easy
Entrepreneurs know that it is critical to their business that they develop a substantial database of clients. Because of this, business owners now rely on list building to network their companies and products online.
List building has become such an important part of online marketing that business owners have started aligning themselves together so that they can share their list of contacts. The more contacts that you have, the more people’s email addresses you will have available to you. The more contacts that you have, the more business you will be able to perform.
So what are some steps that will make list building an easy proposition for your business?
Start Simple
An easy way to break into list building is by getting the contact information of your friends and family. From that point you can begin to grow your list by adding the friends and family of your personal contacts. This is an easy, casual, and efficient way to begin building your list without spending any money to do so. (more…)

The Mind of a Network Marketer
Peter was very enthusiastic when he joined my colleague’s team. He said that he could see himself doing well with the company and earning a good income. He saw the potential of network marketing and in particular our company.
Yet two months after joining, he called to say that network marketing was too hard and that he was going to quit the business. This is quite a common occurrence in the industry Many of us have seen this happen.
Even though his sponsor tried to direct Peter right from the start, and communicate that it would take work for him to earn a substantial income, from his network marketing business, Peter didn’t seem to get it.
What is at the root of this lack of persistence? This inability to see the job through? Peter, like others in a similar position, had not convinced his subconscious mind.
For simplicity sake, let us say that the mind has two components. The Conscious and the Subconscious. It is only when our beliefs become certainties that we reach the subconscious mind. Put it this way. The conscious mind is constantly sowing seeds, the subconscious mind is the earth that receives the seed. In order for the seed to grow, the subconscious has to be imprinted with emotion and deep feeling. It is those thoughts, beliefs and actions that we truly entertain with emotion and certainty that become the seeds that take root in our lives.
Remember when you were learning how to drive a car? How you had to be Conscious of every movement…your hand on the gear stick, your foot on the brake…but once you got it, it became a habit, it became second nature. You had transfered your driving skill to your subconscious. Your repetition, or practice led to it being imprinted in your subconscious.
The Subconscious records and retrieves data. Through the autonomic nervous system, it keeps our heart beating and keeps us breathing It is like a huge memory bank, it records everything. It takes its command from the Conscious mind. Whatever we accept consciously, becomes acceptable to our subconscious mind. It is like a homing device, depending on the data the conscious mind has programmed into it, it keeps you within your comfort zone. (more…)

The logo is dead – long live the logo!
A logo’s job is to represent the essence of its brand’s character – to introduce it if we don’t know it, or to remind us of it if we do. As a photograph is to a person, a logo is to a brand. Visual logos are proven, effective and ubiquitous – which is where they have started to run into rapidly diminishing returns.
I call the problem ‘overmessaging’. Each of us now encounters a staggering 30,000 commercial messages every single day, and the vast majority of them are visual. This means that for the next few years at least, sonic logos – by which I mean short sonic mnemonics that are the exact audio counterparts of the visual logo – are going to be worth considering simply because they are relatively rare and can thus act as powerful differentiators. However there’s more to sonic logos than curiosity value alone: used wisely, they work exceptionally well. They also have a surprisingly long pedigree.
Sonic logos have actually been around for hundreds of years: street calling used to be the main way tradesmen advertised their services, as wonderfully romanticised in the film Oliver. It’s not so long since that practice died: I can remember the ‘rag-and-bone’ man’s mournful shout of “anyoldiron?” from my childhood in London. The modern-day equivalent is the ice cream van: just watch the cathartic effect of its chimes on surrounding buildings on a hot summer’s day to see the potency of sonic logos deployed in the right place at the right time. Most ice cream chimes are generic, but in Sweden the Hemglass ice cream tune is a universally known and loved sonic brand. (more…)

Benefits of Limited Company Formation
Limited liability company formation carries a number of substantial benefits to small and medium sized businesses effectively creating a new corporate body which is a distinct different business vehicle to the owners of the business, shareholders who are protected from unlimited personal liabilities in the majority of circumstances and can carry significant tax advantages which vary from year to year. Incorporation does carry additional legal responsibilities to that of being self employed. Company formation requires the submission of the incorporation details to Company House which must be updated and confirmed each year through the Company House Annual Return. Audited financial accounts must be filed annually both with Company House and the Inland Revenue. And the provisions of the various Companies Acts must be adhered to by the directors responsible for the affairs of the Limited Company. Every limited liability company must have formally appointed company officers at all times. A private limited company must have at least one director, the company articles of association may require more than one, and each limited liability company must have at least one company secretary. While a director can be the company secretary a sole director cannot. (more…)

The Greatest Copywriting Skill – How to Learn It
The most powerful skill you can have as a copywriter is getting inside your prospects head and talking to them in their language. When you do that, and do it well, they’ll listen to you. When you’re talking to them about their most pressing problems, their most dire needs, and deepest desires…in their language…magic happens.
I’ll tell you exactly how to do that. But first…
You should know it’s not something you read about and then do. If you want to be the best, you must learn how to get to know your markets. In short, you must learn about people.
You’ll need to cultivate and develop a skill that many people lack. It’s the bane of many wives and girlfriends around the world. I’ll show you…
“Honey? Did you remember to make that phone call, today?”
“Honey. Did you make the call?”
“…huh?”
“I SAID…did you make the call?”
“…ummm, who was I suppose to call, again?”
That’s right! Listening. Simply listening to what others say. It’s not hard to do. Most people hear the things “they” want to hear very well, everyday. It’s just a matter of consciously focusing…and perhaps having a bit more courtesy. So just…
Pay attention!
Developing this one skill will serve you very well from now on. But for now you’ll be using it to become a better copywriter. And the more you listen, and less you talk, the more you’ll learn about people. After all, people are your market.
What will you be listening for? Simple.
What they say! Not only what they say…but HOW they say it. Their language, speech patterns, figures of speech, and what’s on their minds. You’ll listen to what’s bothering them, what their problems are, what they like and don’t like.
Basically everything.
Doing this one simple thing, long enough, will teach you how regular Joe’s and Mary’s talk. Not only that…but you’ll begin to understand their problems and concerns. Now I’ll tell you some specific actions to take.
Yes, you may be thinking that all you need to do is talk to people and listen. And you’ll be partly right. But lets take it a little further… (more…)
